Body found
On September 23 at around 8.30 am, one unidentified male body (20-25) was recovered from Chirimwari at Bansamgre (EGH). Cadaver was shifted to Civil Hospital Williamnagar for PM.
Assault
On September 22 at around 5 pm, unknown miscreants assaulted Sudip Kuri (31) at Mawkhar, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Nazareth Hospital, Shillong.
Theft
On September 21, unknown miscreants stole gold ornaments valued around Rs. 1 lakh from the residential temple of Mriduchanda Deb at Gudhyamath, Tura (WGH).
On September 19 around 3.30 pm, one Kitboklang Shabong stole one mobile phone from Tipsngi Dhar at Police Bazar, Shillong. Police arrested the accused.
Fraud
Narayan Pradhan of BC House, Keating Road, Shillong lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on September 20, he received an anonymous phone call in which the caller asked for his ATM details and asked him to switch off his mobile for three hours.
Extortion
Mahindra Pratap Bhansali lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on September 19 at around 3.15 pm, one unidentified person handed him over a bag containing a mobile phone and demand note of Rs. 10 lakh in the name UALA at Hawakhana, Tura (WGH).
Surrender
On September 19 at around 9.30 pm, one absconding accused Coming Dkhar surrendered at Jowai PS.
Threat
Michael Warjri lodged a complaint at Laban PS that on September 19 at around 1.12 pm, one unidentified person entered the office of the Syiem of Hima Nongspung at Block-9 (EKH) and damaged the office articles and threatened the Syiem with dire consequences.
Rape attempt
On September 9, one Moonlight Phyllei attempted to rape one elderly lady at Kseh (WJH) and also stabbed her with a knife. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Mission Hospital, Jowai.
Arrest
Police arrested five persons, Banjaop Lyngdoh Mawphlang, Mebanjop Ryntathiang, Gaddiel Syiem, George Marsing and Larry L Mawphlang in connection with a causing grievous hurt under Laitumkhrah PS.
