NEW DELHI: Both the Lok Sabha members from Meghalaya -Vincent H Pala and Purno A Sangma – have been made member in the consultative committee of DoNER Ministry. This was informed in a notification issued by Lok Sabha secretariat here on Monday.

Former NEHU Vice Chancellor and Rajya Sabha member Prof Mrinal Miri, former Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Bijoy Chakraborty, a Lok Sabha member from Guwahati are other members of the committee, headed by DoNER minister Gen (retd) V K Singh.

Purno Sangma is also a member of the standing committee on Energy. Pala is a member of the standing committee on law justice and public grievances as well as member of the MPLAD committee. The lone Rajya Sabha member from the state Wansuk Syiem is a member of the Standing Committee on Social Justice. She is also a member in the consultative committee on SCs & STs.
