Hollywood hunk George Clooney said goodbye to his bachelor days after tying the knot with his ladylove, Lebanese-British lawyer Amal Alamuddin, in a beautiful and intimate symbolic wedding ceremony in Venice, Italy on Saturday.

The 53-year-old actor’s agent broke the news in a brief statement. “George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin were married today (September 27) in a private ceremony in Venice, Italy,” Clooney spokesman Stan Rosenfield said.

Clooney, who looked dapper in his black Armani tuxedo, was greeted by his 36-year-old beautiful lady at the gorgeous Aman Canal Grande hotel, reported E! online. Clooney and his blushing bride exchanged vows on a podium in front of a large wall of white candles in the presence of more than 100 of their nearest and dearest, which included a star-studded list of names like Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber, Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso, John Krasinski and wife Emily Blunt, Ellen Barkin, Anna Wintour, U2 frontman Bono and Bill Murray.

The wedding came as a surprise as the pair were not expected to officially tie the knot until Monday.

Clooney’s representative confirmed that the actor and Alamuddin will wrap up their eventful weekend fun with a civil ceremony on Monday, at which point they will officially and legally be man and wife. (PTI)
