Reconsider bandh call: UDP to HNLC

SHILLONG: The UDP has appealed to the HNLC to review its decision of calling the 24-hour bandh starting from 6 pm of October 1 which coincides with the Durga Puja celebrations.

UDP working president Bindo M. Lanong, on Sunday, said that as requested by the Central Puja Committee and also due to the prevailing situation in the State, the party wanted to appeal to HNLC to suspend the bandh.
