New Delhi: National Cadet Corps (NCC), North Eastern Region, entered the semi-finals of the Under-17 girls section in the 55th Subroto Cup Football Tournament, defeating Carmel Girls High School, Jharkhand, 2-0 at the Ambedkar Stadium here, on Wednesday.
NCC scored once in each half through Th. Babysana in the 20th minute and S. Tejibala in the 54th minute. In the second quarter-final, Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Haryana, inflicted a 2-0 loss on Meghalaya High School. Anita and Renu scored for the winning team.
The Haryana team will meet NCC in the semi-finals on Friday. (IANS)
