A·chik youth meet held in Mumbai

SHILLONG: Maharashtra A·chik Youth Association (MAYA), organized a one-day programme on self-development at Meghalaya House, Mumbai, on October 2 as an initiative towards motivating the youths into cultivating their abilities and channeling them towards full capacity.

Tilla Venter B. Marak, counselor and previously a professor, shared her knowledge about self-development. The self-development programme was conducted during the day time followed by a freshers’ meet for the year 2014-2015 for the new A·chik students in Maharashtra.

On October 3, a general meeting was held wherein Jakrik B. Sangma was elected president, Dhimpue Ch. Momin as vice president, Amsrang G. Momin as general secretary and Sekso R. Marak as treasurer.

An initiative to help and donate for recent flood victims in parts of Garo Hills was also taken by the students.
