Murder of minor : Women’s panel team to visit GH

SHILLONG: In view of the seriousness and sensitivity of the case related to the murder of 15- year-old girl at Williamnagar, Theilin Phanbuh, Chairperson of Meghalaya State Commission for Women said that the Commission has decided to proceed immediately to Williamnagar to take stock of the situation and to show their solidarity with the aggrieved family.

The severed body of the girl was recovered from a forest on Sunday.

The GSU has already decided to hold a protest rally on Wednesday demanding action against the perpetrator of the crime.

Meanwhile, the CSWO will organize a candle light vigil on October 9 at 6 pm, at Khyndai Lad in solidarity to the protest rally in Williamnagar to condemn the brutal murder and rape of the minor Garo girl
