Agartala:Shortage of petroleum products mostly petrol and diesel in Tripura has taken an ugly worst turn in seventh consecutive day on Thursday, as movement of vehicles on street has reduced that resulted in a problem for the daily commuters.

Most of the petrol and diesel driven public vehicles stayed off the roads for past few days due to fuel shortage. Only CNG run vehicles are in operation but there is also a crisis in supply because of infrastructure.According to police, there was long queue in the two petrol pumps till this morning. But the pump could not cater to all the consumers, as stock exhausted in between that enraged the bikers and car owners.Police had to resort to lathicharge to control the mob in Radhanagar area last night. The consumers were seen standing in a long queue in Ganaraj area of the city. said Civil Supplies(uni)
