Duped

Romeo Nongtdu of Rynjah, Shillong lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that in May 2014, one D. Syrpailin Warbah borrowed Rs. 9,75,800 from him with a promise to repay the same within 45 days but has failed to repay the amount till date.

Accident

On October 9 at around 3.50 am, one truck (AS-01-AC-2249) driven by Kit Dkhar (31) dashed against one Tata Sumo (ML-05G-7081) driven by one Naziruddin (40) at Lad Smit (EKH). As a result, the driver and three other occupants of Tata Sumo sustained injuries and were shifted to Civil Hospital, Shillong.

One found unconscious

On October 8 at around 8 pm, one Fadri Lamin was found lying unconscious at Keating Road, Shillong. He was removed to Civil Hospital, Shillong and matter is under enquiry.

Murder

On October 7 at around 10.30 pm, one Topon Rabha murdered his younger brother Akon Rabha with a sharp weapon in their house at Torikakona under Bajengdoba PS (NGH). On October 8 at around 7.30 am, residents of the village produced him at Bajengdoba PS where he was arrested.

Lightning struck

On October 6 at around 2 pm, lightning struck two persons– Teiming S Mawdoh and Firstday Nongkhar– at Mynni-Mawbri playground (WKH). As a result, Teiming S Mawdoh died on the spot while the other victim sustained injuries and was removed to PHC Markasa.

Theft

Manoj Kumar Prasad lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on the night of September 25, unknown miscreants broke into his shop at Garobadha (WGH) and stole 70 mobile phones, memory cards, recharge vouchers and other grocery items valued around Rs. 3,22,500/-.
