JOWAI: West Jaintia Hills Police on Friday arrested two brothers for allegedly murdering a person near Mukoilum, Karbi-Anglong District, Assam, about five months ago.
The accused were identified as Sker Samaiang and his younger brother, Brol Samaiang, residents of Mukroh and Barato villages in West Jaintia Hills District, respectively.
Sources informed that the brothers allegedly killed one Ranjan Dey near Mukoilum in Karbi-Anglong District of Assam and after committing the murder they took off in the motorcycle belonging to the victim.
A special team of police led by the DSP (Hq), Jowai, reached Borato and Mukroh village and arrested the duo on Friday morning.
Meanwhile sources said that Brol Samaiang was allegedly involved in the murder of one Teshali Sympli of Lumshnong village recently. Sympli was allegedly killed by a group of contract killers hired by his wife and her lover (Brol).
