Music fest
Focus HiFi will organize Just Music Festival on October 12 (Sunday) behind Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Polo Shillong at 3 pm. Shillong will once again rock with the renowned music band Parikrama. Lou Majaw and local bands will also perform in the event.
Girl Child’s Day
As a part of the observation of International Day of Girl Child, the Meghalaya State Child Protection Society in collaboration with the District Social Welfare Officer and District Child Protection Unit, East Khasi Hills organized a poster campaign on October 8 for various schools who portrayed different key messages through their art.
CPC meet
An extra-ordinary general body meeting of CPC will be held on October 12 at 10.30 a.m.at Jagannath Mandir auditorium, Thana Road. The meeting is convened to review the performance of CPC during the Durga Puja festival and also to take decision on some important matters.

Nongkrem Dance, the annual thanksgiving festival of Hima Khyrim at Smit will be celebrated on October 31 and November 1.
