Minor raped

On October 6 at around 6.30 pm, one Emlang Dkhar raped a 14-year-old girl at a place known as Thlukairang at Iongkaluh in East Jaintia Hills.

Vehicle hijacked

A woman identified as Rosila Kharsyntiew lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar police station that on October 10 at around 12 noon, one Amit of Laitumkhrah, Shillong hired her Mahindra Scorpio (ML-05K-2471) driven by Rikupar Nongrem from Shillong to Dimapur, from where the vehicle was hijacked to unknown destination. However, the driver managed to escape and reported the matter to Nagaland Police.

Vehicle theft

On the night of October 4, miscreants stole one Mahindra Bolero pick-up (ML-08C-7033) belonging to one Manoj Kumar Prasad from Nakham Bazar, Tura.

Burglary

On the night of October 9, unknown miscreants broke into the shop of one Jag Mohan Prasad Kushuaha at Polo, Shillong and stole cash Rs. 45,000, cigarettes valued around Rs 3,50,000 and cosmetic items valued around 65,000.

Body found hanging

On October 6 at around 2.30 pm, body of one Robert Marak was found hanging from a tree near his residence at Wankhola village, West Garo Hills.

One knocked down

On October 9 at around 8 pm, an unknown vehicle knocked down one pedestrian Nantu Deb (50s) at 4th Furlong, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.

Assault

On October 8 at around 6.30 pm, three persons, Vishal Roy Kharsyntiew (23), Alphios Kharumnuid (24) and Mark Kharumnuid (22s) assaulted Donboklang Kharsohnoh (38) at Laimaw Thangsning under Madanrting PS (EKH). Victim sustained injuries and was admitted at Civil Hospital Shillong. Matter is under enquiry.

NGT ban violations

On October at 8 around 10.15 pm, Police accompanied by magistrate detected two trucks (ML-06-4429 & AS-01-DD-0765) driven by Lothering Warjri (24) and Mooletstar Sun (20) respectively, transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Jashiar-Mawthawpdah-Pariong Junction (SWKH). Police seized the both the trucks and arrested the drivers.

On October 8, police accompanied by magistrate detected one truck (AS-01-DC-2179) driven by Kyntiewborlin Pariong (27), transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Mawthawpdah (SWKH). Police seized the truck and arrested the driver.

Ornaments stolen

Partha Debnath lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on October 8, unknown miscreants broke into his jewellery shop at Red Hills Road, Laitumkhrah,Shillong and stole silver rings and other items.

Dacoits assaulted

On October 8, residents of Megonggre village under Dadenggre PS (WGH) apprehended and assaulted six miscreants suspecting them to be dacoits and handed them over to Police. One SBML gun and five dummy weapons were recovered from their possession.

Nuisance

On October 3 at around 3 pm, during an immersion procession of the idol of goddess Durga, four persons Rockynath Rabha, Teging Rabha, Binod Rabha and Jelsing Rabha created nuisance and also assaulted Ajit Rabha, Upoti Rabha and other devotees at Bolarbhita (WGH).

Pipes stolen

One Gripping Marak lodged a complaint at Williamnagar PS that miscreants stole some pipes from PHE water supply line at Rangmalgre village (EGH).

One shot at

One Nang Rymbai lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on September 24 at around 6.30 pm, miscreants shot at his brother Iaraplang Rymbai at Mookhep (EJH) causing injuries to him.

Theft

One Daplin Lyngdoh lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on September 17 at around 7.30 am, miscreants stole one cell-phone charger and SIM card from her residence at Nongkhyriem Nongthymmai, Shillong.

Fraud

One Pynshngain Pyngrope lodged a complaint at Madanrting PS that between January 11 and February 16, 2010, unknown persons forged his signature and withdrew Rs. 1,28,100 from Mawkynrew Village Water and Sanitation Scheme.
