SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Board of School Education has informed that as per the notification issued by the National Council for Teachers’ Education, all elementary school teachers who have not passed the HSSLC examination nor fulfilled the minimum qualification of securing 45 per cent marks in the Pre-University or its equivalent examinations but have passed their Graduation (which includes BBA or BCA) are not required to appear and improve their percentage in the HSSLC re-examination scheduled to be held in March, 2015.

The MBOSE also said that the teacher candidates who have passed their HSSLC examination from MBOSE are allowed to appear only in the weak subjects so as to enable them to secure 45 per cent marks overall while those teachers who have passed from other Boards and Universities are required to appear in all the subjects in the existing syllabus.
