Two contract killers arrested

SHILLONG: The Special Cell of West Jaintia Hills Police has arrested two contract killers.

Informing this on Thursday, West Jiantia Hills police chief Herbert Lyngdoh said that the duo — Deimon Dhar (28) and Thomas Jones Ryngkhlem (27) — were arrested along with arms and ammunition from a village in West Jaintia Hills on Wednesday night.

Police nabbed them from a liquor shop owned by one H Rymbai at Mookabeng village.

According to Lyngdoh, they came out of jail recently.

One 7.65 pistol, 2 magazine, 6 rounds of ammunition were seized from Dhar and .22 pistol, a magazine with 15 rounds ammunition were seized from Thomas Jones, Lyngdoh said adding that both were booked under Arms Act.

Both Dhar and Ryngkhlem have been categorized as contract killers by police for their alleged involvement in murder of two church leaders Myntriang village. They got the contract to kill the church leader.
