Aqua fest
As a part of the activities for the Meghalaya State Aqua Fest 2014, the Department of Fisheries will organize a catch and release angling competition at Wards Lake, Shillong on October 20 at 10 am.
Foundation stone
Home Minister Roshan Warjri will lay the foundation stone for the construction of approach road at Jaiaw Laitdom near Pearly Dew School on October 18 at 11 am.
Cultural programme
Hynniewtrep Cultural and Welfare Organisation will hold the annual cultural programme “Ki Batemon U Hynniewtrep -A festival of traditional music and cultural dance” at the U Soso Tham auditorium on October 18 at 6 pm.
Fencing camp
The third state level fencing coaching cum training camp is being held at Assam Club, Shillong. The camp is being organized by the Meghalaya Fencing Association in collaboration with Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs. The camp will conclude on October 21.
Air show
The people of Shillong will once again be able to witness the Vajra Air and Adventure Fest on October 18 and 19 at Advance Landing Ground (ALG) opposite Head Quarters Eastern Air Command , IAF Upper Shillong. The festival will showcase the ‘Spirit of Adventure’ of the Indian Air Force.
