SHILLONG: In a suicide attempt, a girl student of BBS College, Garikhana on Monday jumped from the terrace of the college building, causing injuries.
According to police, the incident took place at around 10 am. The 17-year-old girl is a Class XII student.
She was immediately taken to Civil Hospital and later shifted to NEIGRIHMS. Police said they have not been able to talk to her about the cause of suicide attempt.
As per reports, the victim had written a suicide note and handed it over to her classmates along with the SIM card of her mobile before making the suicide attempt.
