Chhat puja
The Bihari Welfare Association has informed that the Chhat puja will be performed under various chat puja committees under the banner of Bihari Welfare Association on the evening of October 29 from 3 pm to 11 pm and on October 30 from 3 am to 8 am at Dhobi Ghat, Rilbong, Immersion Ghat ,Polo, Umkaliar, Nongmensong, Narsing Akhara, Lumdiengjri, Happy Valley, CPDR and Cleave Colony.
UN event
North East India International Model United Nations is hosting its second conference from October 24-26. The opening ceremony of the event will be held at 9 am at the State Convention Centre.
Training
The Shillong Commerce College organized a one-day training programme on October 21 in collaboration with the office of the Director General, Civil Defence and Home Guards with regards to disaster and natural calamities.
General meeting
The Garo Students Union, Khasi Hills zone has asked all the Garo students of Shillong to attend the general meeting of the Union which will be held on October 25 at Garo Union School from 1 pm onwards.
Inauguration
Two tourist hubs, one at Dympep and one at Lumshynna, Pdengshnong will be inaugurated on October 25 at 10 and 11 am respectively. Deputy Chief Minister in charge of Soil and Water Conservation will be the chief guest on the occasion.
