Ops against militants to continue: Roshan

SHILLONG: Taking a tough stand against the militants following the death of police official Promoth Sangma , Home Minister Roshan Warjri on Thursday said that operations against the militants will continue.

In a statement, the Home Minister reiterated the government’s stand against militants who are engaged in creating terror in the state and asserted that counter-insurgency operations would continue.

She paid rich tributes to sub-inspector and sent her condolences to the police officer’s bereaved family.

Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt to nab the escaped militants.
