Theft cases

On the night of October 20, miscreants broke into the Clear Vision Eye Care Centre belonging to Dr. Dipsera AB Sangma at Ringrey, Tura (WGH) and stole few spectacle frames.

From the night of October 18 to the morning of October 20, miscreants broke into the shop of one Monasha Nongbet at Nongstoin Bazar and stole goods valued at Rs. 94,535.

On the night of October 22, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08D-6053) belonging to Alfriend N Sangma from Brahminpara, Tura (WGH).

On the night of October 23, unknown miscreants stole batteries and other items valued Rs. 1,04,980 from a Vodafone Tower at Ialong village (WJH).

Kidnapping bid

One Stodar Dkhar lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on the night of October 18, one Pyndapbor Lyngdoh Marshillong attempted to kidnap him from his residence at Pohkseh, Shillong.

Stone pelting

A woman identified as Sowiarty Suting lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on October 23 at around 8.30 pm, one Shibun Lipon along with his associates pelted stones at her house and also threatened her with dire consequences at Pynthorlangtein (WJH).

Documents forged

A woman identified as Balarikor Diengdoh of Lower Lumparing, Shillong lodged a complaint at Laban PS that one George Ranee took some land documents from her mother for obtaining permission for house construction. However, on October 20, she found that the land documents which were returned back by George Ranee were not original but fake ones.

Rape attempt

On October 19 at around 10.30 am, four persons– Artin Marak, Binang Sangma, Marjan Marak and Malchen Sangma– molested and attempted to rape a married woman while she was weeding the paddy field at Ringganpara under Dalu PS (WGH).

Burn injuries

On October 23 at around 6.30 pm, a woman Sabitri Sunar (22) sustained injuries when kerosene oil spilled over the cooking stove and caught fire in her residence at Nongsder Umiam (RB). She was removed to Civil Hospital for treatment.

One Donboklang Dohling lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar police that on October 4, a musical event entitled Dance Meghalaya Dance was organized by Rising Star Hunt Society and Jaintia Dancers Association at U Soso Tham Auditorium, Shillong without obtaining NOC for public performance of copyright music.

Accident

On October 25 at around 1.50 am, one motorcycle (ML-05K-9819) ridden by Kyrmen Lyngdoh (27) while moving through the no entry point from Kachari towards IGP Point, Shillong, collided with a Maruti Zen (ML-05E-4368). As a result, the rider sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.
