NONGPOH: Sacked by the implementing agency of the ongoing Jorabat-Umiam four lane project, M/s NKC Pvt Ltd. recently, 20 local youths from Ri Bhoi on Saturday threatened to “take stringent action against the company” if they are not reinstated in the month of November.

The sacked youths have claimed that their services were terminated without any specific reason. The youths were involved in the project since the last three years, and were hired by Ramky Infrastructure, the then implementing agency of the project. However, few months after Ramky abandoned the project and NKC took over, the youths were relieved of their services.
