SHILLONG: In a late realization, the East Khasi Hills district administration has banned bursting of crackers in the district from 10 pm to 6 am even after the celebration of Diwali on October 23. In a statement issued to the media, the district magistrate on Tuesday said that it had been brought to the notice of the administration that there is bursting of sound emitting fire crackers beyond 10 pm.
