EFL University, UNICEF Assam to organize national seminar

Shillong: The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, English and Foreign Languages University, Shillong Campus, in partnership with UNICEF Assam is organising a two-day national seminar on October 30-31 on the theme ‘Social Media and Democratic Discourse’ under the project titled Children in Media Experiments (CHIME 2014) at the Multipurpose Hall of the University’s Shillong Campus.

Dr. T.K. Kharbamon, Associate Professor, ELE Department, EFLU, Shillong, will chair the inaugural programme on October 30 at 10 am. Guests for the programme include Tahseen Alam, Communication Officer, UNICEF, Sukumar Muralidharan, IIAS, Shimla, Dr. Usha Raman, University of Hyderabad, Kishalay Bhattacharjee, Director, Reach Out Foundation, New Delhi. Prof. V. Ganeshan, former VC of CIEFL will inaugurate the seminar.

The valedictory function will be held on October 31 at 4:45 pm.
