Art fest

Meghalaya Art Fest, organized by Department of Arts and Culture, will be inaugurated on October 29 at 11.30 am at the State Central Library.

Workshop

The NSS unit of Lady Keane College, Shillong, will organize a one-day workshop on Road Safety and Traffic Rules on October 30. The NSS and NCC units of the College will also organize a special programme for spreading the message of unity, safety and security. East Khasi Hills SP M Kharkrang will inaugurate the workshop at 9 am.

A workshop on livestock farming for entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihood will be organized at the Intensive Cattle Development Project office, Upper Shillong, on October 30.

Closing prog

The closing ceremony of the Silver Jubilee celebration of the MeECL Accounts Association will be held on November 4 at the conference hall of City Hut Dhaba at 1 pm. MeECL Chairman cum Director P.B.O. Warjri will be the chief guest.

Holiday

The Deputy Commissioner, Ri Bhoi District, has informed that all State Government offices, revenue and magisterial courts and educational institution in the district will remain closed on Friday on account of Nongkrem Dance.

The NSS unit of Sngap Syiem College conducted its annual special camp at the adopted village of Pawphlang in South West Khasi Hills from October 21-27.

New KSU unit

The KSU, North Khasi Hills District Unit, has formed the KSU Umskun unit and elected Stephan Kshiar as president, Shambok Mawphniang as vice president and Celestine Maring as general secretary, besides others. The KSU also elected new office bearers for Lumkya unit with Losbing Sohtun as president, Iasnenglam Sohtun as vice president and Andrew Sohtun as general secretary, among others.
