Taxi fare

Local taxis which ply from Civil Hospital Junction upto St. John’s School, Laban, have to charge Rs.5 per passenger. Any overcharging can be brought to the notice of SP, DTO, Officer in Charge (Traffic) Sadar Police Station or the office of the Dorbar Shnong.

Relief

Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills, has released payment of Gratuitous Relief to those affected victims whose crops and houses were damaged by fire, landslides, storms and heavy rainfall which occurred during the year 2012 under Mawkynrew Block.
