Accident
On October 29 at around 10 pm, one Hyundai Santro car (ML-05D-4560) driven by UBC Hillary Sangma of East Khasi Hills, DEF, dashed against a wall near YWCA, Shillong. As a result, the driver sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.
On October 31 at around 9.15 am, an accident took place between one Bolero Max (ML-05K-2145) driven by Sngipur Mawlong (19) and one Hyundai Santro car (ML-05H-4077) driven by Previonson Nongkynrih (27) at Sohiong View Point (EKH). As a result, one occupant of the Santro car sustained injuries and was admitted at Woodland Hospital, Shillong.
Theft
Vineet Kumar, Branch Manager, SBI Ladrymbai lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on October 28, unknown miscreants stole one laptop computer, one notebook and one cell phone with two SIM cards from his residence at Ladrymbai (EJH).
On October 28 at around 2 am, unknown miscreants broke into the shop of Raju Disiar at Lumshyiap, Nongmynsong, Shillong and stole goods valued around Rs. 22,805.
On the night of October 28, unknown miscreants stole one Mahindra Bolero pick-up (ML-05L-7331) belonging to Indira Slong from Akhonggre Road, Tura (WGH).
Attempted rape
On October 19 at about 10 am, one Jop Manner attempted to rape a woman of Thadmukoh village at Pamblang (WJH).
Body recovered
On October 31 at around 11 am, one unidentified decomposed male body was recovered from a forest at Umsohlang village (EKH). Necessary formalities were observed and the cadaver was sent to Civil Hospital Shillong for PM.
Complaint against pollution
J.D Sangma, EE, PDW (Road), NEC Division, Tura lodged a complaint (October 29) at Tura PS that 58 stone quarries and 39 stone crushers which are operating along the Ampati Road (WGH) are dumping the debris into the stream which is resulting in chocking of river channels and overflowing of the road formation.
Assault
On October 28 at around 8 pm, one Monna K. Wanniang assaulted and threatened Aidalis K. Wanniang with dire consequences at Rangmaw village (SWKH). The VDP members apprehended the accused and handed him over to Police.
