Police seize six coal-laden trucks in WJH

JOWAI: West Jaintia Hills Police have seized six coal-laden trucks for illegally transporting coal to Assam in violation of the NGT orders.

Two trucks were seized from Phramer on Thursday night while four others were seized from Ummulong on Friday night.

WJH district police chief, Herbert G Lyngdoh, informed that cases have been registered against the drivers and the owners of all the seized trucks under appropriate sections of law.
