SHILLONG: A goal by Nangkiew Irat’s S. Harry ensured a tight 1-0 win against rangdajied United in the Imperial Blue Shillong Premiere League match at the JN Sports Complex, Shillong, here on Saturday.
Rangdajied failed to equalise and were unable to capitalise on their chances, costing them the match to lose. Harry scored as early as in the 3rd minute and Nangkiew were able to hold on to the lead until the end of the match.
In the Third Division match, Nongrim Hills clinched a 2-0 win over Madanryting.
With this win Nongrim Hills qualified in Second Division for the next season. Nongrim’s goals came late but timely from T. Wahlang who provided a crucial last minute goal and A. Mawthoh scored the second goal soon in the stoppage time.
