SHILLONG: Mawkhar-Pynthorumkhrah KHNAM MDC James Ban Basaiawmoit submitted his resignation to KHADC CEM Adelbert Nongrum on Tuesday evening.
Basaiawmoit submitted his resignation to pave the way for Nongrum to accommodate another HSPDP MDC as the EM in the Executive Committee of the KHADC.
“I have taken this decision to see that the ongoing rumblings in the ruling coalition-ARPA come to an end,” Basaiawmoit told newsmen after submitting his resignation.
He admitted that problems will always be there in any coalition whether in the State-level or district council-level.
The HSPDP has proposed the name of Mawshynrut MDC Morningstar Mawsor for the post EM.
