“The police department seeks actionable intelligence against the most-wanted militants,” the statement said.

According to list provided by the police, most of the militants belong to the banned Garo rebel outfit, the Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) and its splinter group, the Achik Matgrik Elite Force (AMEF).

Given along with photographs, the list featured the names of top GNLA leaders which include Zen Robert Ch Marak, Baichung Ch Momin, Rikchi Ch Marak, Kennedy T Sangma, Rakban D Shira, Ajan Ch Momin, Hedeo Ch Momin and Kiljang R Sangma.

The other two most-wanted militants listed by the police are Jack Marak and Chesrang D Sangma alias Goran of the AMEF. Both of them deserted the GNLA and floated the AMEF.

The names of the informants, whose information would lead to the arrest of the militants, would be kept ‘top secret’, the PRO added.
