SHILLONG: Kitbor Kharkongor’s heroics ensured a 2-1 finish for Malki in their Imperial Blue Shillong Premiere League match against Royal Wahingdoh at JN Stadium here on Tuesday.

Kitbor struck his first in the 46th minute and added one more to the tally in the 61st minute to take a seemingly unassailable lead but an own goal by Malki’s Da-u-Ni Passah in the 77th minute threatened to bring the Royals back into the match.

However, Wahingdoh failed to find the equalizer.

Meanwhile, Jongskha beat Sawmer’s 3-1 in another match. Jongksha got off to an early start with A. Rynjah scoring in the 21st minute. Sawmer managed to level in the 39th minute through M. Hujon but E. Kharsahnoh added two more goals for Jongksha to produce a timely win.

Wednesday’s match:

Boys Sports Company vs. Rangdajied United, 2.45 pm.
