SHILLONG: The Meghalaya State Housing Board Employees Union (MSHBU) has expressed shock over the alleged indifferent attitude of the State Government which has decided to provide interim relief to MCCL staff while the “deprived” Housing Board employees have been left to fend for themselves.

General Secretary of the Union, D Lyngdoh said that even though both the MSHB and the MCCL come under the same government, it was surprising to see the State come forward to help one while ignoring the other.

The Housing Board employees have not received their salaries for 15 months now.
