Step father rapes minor

A woman identified as Binaris Syiemlieh lodged a belated complaint at Mairang police station that during the month of May her second husband Benedik Kharbani (35) raped her fifteen year old daughter at Kynshi Mawria village in West Khasi Hills.

Chaos at district Jail

One R. Khyriem lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar police station that on August 21, 2014 at around 10 pm, one Donbor Marbaniang threatened one Kyrshan Jana and his family members with dire consequences at Shillong district Jail.

Wrongful confinement

Police arrested one Gobind Chettri (37) in connection with a case of wrongful confinement under Shillong Sadar PS.

Fake number plate

S.S. Syiemlieh, CEO, Jowai Municipal Board lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that one Marlan Challam of Mission Compound, Jowai (WJH) forged the registration number of one Tata Mobile Pick-up (ML-04A-7838) of Jowai Municipal Board and used the same for his truck which was involved in a theft case.

Threat

On October 22 at around 9 am, one Flomingstar Shangdiar, ex-Headman of Mawrapat village (EKH) threatened Teiborlin Myrthong to resign from the post of Headman.

Assault case

On September 7at around 9.15 pm, a woman Sadina Sangma assaulted another woman Tartina Sangma at her residence at Anchenggre (WGH). Victim sustained head injuries.

Abductee escapes

Md. Jalal Prodhani lodged a complaint at Phulbari police station that on August 19 at around 9 am, one Md. Mohidur Islam along with three armed unidentified youths abducted Md. Aziar Hoque from a place between Phulbari and Chigitchakgre (WGH) and demanded a ransom of Rs. 30 lakh from his relatives. After three days, the victim managed to escape unharmed.
