Crime against women

On November 2 at noon, one Singwell Mawlong raped one 20-year-old girl at Umshyiap village West Khasi Hills. On the same day at around 6.15 pm, one Ranky Chyne attempted to rape a 21-year-old girl at Wah Pukri, Nongrim Sohra in West Khasi Hills. Police arrested the accused.

Minor girl kidnapped

On November 5 at around 4.30 pm, a 15-year-old girl from Pynthorbah Block-IV was reportedly kidnapped by unknown miscreants in a local taxi (number not known) from Pynthorbah near Dog Squad, Shillong.

Cop’s wife files FIR

A wife of Police Constable presently posted at Delhi lodged a complaint on November 3 at Tura police station that on September 7, 2014, an unknown person sent an SMS to her husband at Delhi, defaming her character with an intention to ruin their relationship.

Net shopping fraud

One Sunki Pustem lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on October 22, one Rinku Deka had directed him to deposit Rs 17,000 in the bank account of DTDC at Dispur Branch, Guwahati for purchasing one cell-phone through OLX, an internet shopping site but did not receive the cell-phone till date.

One dead

On November 5 at around 1.35 pm, one Rifle/Washerman, Md. Nasaruddin of Assam Rifles Signal Unit, Happy Valley, Shillong fell down from the staircase of his Govt. Quarter at Happy Valley, Shillong and sustained injuries. He was removed to Assam Rifles Hospital, Shillong where the Medical Officer declared him brought dead.

One injured

On November 6 at around 9.25 am, one Md. Mehboob Ali (35) was found lying at Diengpasoh (EKH) with head injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.

Theft cases

On November 5 at around 5.40 am, unknown miscreants stole electrical goods valued around Rs. 3,06,240 from the shop of one  Shashank Jasrasaria at HDFC Building, Mawkhar, Shillong.
On November 5 at around 6.20 pm, four unidentified miscreants demanded money from one Donald Max Nongkynrih at Lower Jail Road, Shillong and snatched his belongings.
One  S. Nongrum, Sordar Shnong, Seisiej (EKH) lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on November  3, unknown miscreants damaged and stole 12 fencing grills from Lyngkien-Umthiang village (EKH).

Unclaimed body

On October 31 at around 9 am, one unidentified male person (37) who was found lying unconscious at Jhalupara, Shillong and was shifted to CH Shillong for medical treatment expired on November 1 at  around 6.15 pm.
