GSU calls office picketing on Thursday

TURA: In view of the State Government’s failure to respond to its various demands including the appointment of a full-fledged Deputy Commissioner for South Garo Hills, the Garo Students’ Union (GSU), Southern Zone, Baghmara, has announced office picketing of all government offices in the district on November 13.
“Barring departments like Medical and the MeECL all other Government offices will be included in the picketing,” the regional unit president, Chuba R. Marak, said adding that it was ready for further course of agitations if the government continued to ignore its demands.
