Minor raped
A person lodged a complaint at Tura police station that on November 6, one Kingvictor Ch. Marak raped his 5-year-old daughter at Dalu in West Garo Hills. The accused was arrested.
Assault
A woman lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on November 5 at around 6.15 pm, four persons, Simjeng Ch. Marak, Sengnak T. Sangma, Thengbal Ch. Marak and . Ransilla Ch. Marak, outraged her modesty and attempted to assault her in her shop at Danakgre, Niksenggittim (WGH).
On November 8 at around 9.30 pm, four unidentified miscreants assaulted one Christopher Swer and forcibly boarded his Maruti car (ML-05G-1976) from Upper Laban towards Nongthymmai. The victim managed to escape at Jingkieng Nongthymmai, Shillong leaving behind his laptop computer, cell phone and important documents in the car. Later, the car was found abandoned at Nongthymmai, Shillong.
Minor boy dead
On November 8 at around 5.30 pm, one Indrajit Kumar (14) was found lying unconscious at Law-U-Sib, Shillong and was removed to Bethany Hospital, Shillong, where the attending Medical Officer declared him brought dead.
Theft
On November 7, unknown miscreants broke into the house of a woman identified as Jalin Dhar at Lumbhahdakha, Wahiajer (WJH) and stole Rs. 15,000 and four tolas of gold.
On November 7 at around 8.30 pm, three persons, Brijesh Yadav, Jivash Tatti and Sanjay Kumar assaulted one Ram Naresh Mahato and his wife at Police Bazar, Shillong and also snatched cash Rs. 5,000 from them.
NGT ban violation
On November 7 at around 10.30 pm, one truck (AS-01AC-8149) met with an accident at Jowai By-pass, Caroline Colony, NH-44 (WJH), where the driver Hamedawan Bhoi and handyman, Roland Lamare sustained injuries and were shifted to CH Ialong, Jowai. Police detected the truck which was loaded with coal in violation of NGT order.
Counter allegations
On November 7 at around 8.30 pm, three persons, Brijesh Yadav, Jivash Tatti and Sanjay Kumar assaulted one Ram Naresh Mahato and his wife at Police Bazar, Shillong and also snatched cash Rs. 5,000 from them.
Brijesh Yadav lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on November 7 at about 10.30 pm, Ram Naresh Mahato along with his wife assaulted him at Police Bazar, Shillong and took away cash Rs. 1,500.
Abduction
One Samnur Ali of Kharija Phaikan, Goalpara, Assam lodged a complaint on November 8 at Tura PS that on October 29, unidentified armed miscreants abducted his employees, Jafer Ali and Sohor Ali both of Kharija Phaikan, Goalpara, Assam from Waribok under Tura PS (WGH), while they were proceeding towards Tura in a pick-up vehicle (AS-10DC-2790). However, on October 31, Jafer Ali managed to escape.
