Royal humiliate Boys, Nagen, Bekay score hat-trick

SHILLONG: A dual hat trick by Nagen Tamang and Bekay Bawar ensured a comprehensive 6-0 win for Royal Wahingdoh in their Imperial Blue Shillong Premiere League match against Boys Sports Company on Monday, here in Shillong.
Wahingdoh were the dominant side throughout although Boys Sports did get a few shots on target but were unlucky not to beat keeper Bishorjit.
Nagen opened the scoring in the 18th minute before Bekay unleashed a flurry of shots that resulted in two conversions to put the Royals Wahingdoh 3-0 ahead at the break.  Eight minutes into resumption of the second half, Nagen scored his second goal while Bekay completed his hat trick in the 55th minute. Nagen’s hat trick goal came in the 70th minute to finish the game with a six goal success.
Meanwhilein the Second Division match, Nongthymmai scored two goals against Mawkhar in their match. Nongthymmai led in the 26th minute through W. Muirang before A. Syngoh scored the second goal later.
Mawkhar earned a penalty which was translated into a goal in the 70th minute with A. Lamin doing his side the favour but it was not enough to stop their opponents and till the last whistle the match ended 2-1 win for Nongthymmai.
