One stabbed

On November 14 at around 9 pm, one Birendra Sarkar stabbed Ashim Chanda (23) with a sharp weapon at Rilbong, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong. Accused person has been arrested.

Two held for poisoning river

On November 14 at around 9.30 pm, two persons, Jiten Masynting (55) and Jamona Khongmawloh (25) were apprehended while they were poisoning the Byrdaw stream at Pomshutia, Pynursla (EKH) for catching fish. Both of them were detained and matter is under enquiry.

One robbed

On November 14 at around 10 pm, three unidentified armed miscreants robbed Lumbor Iawphniaw of Rs. 45,000 at Dholai Malai under Dangar OP (EKH).

Assault for rape attempt

On November 12 at around 9 pm, one Ananta Deb (40) attempted to rape one girl at Them Marwet (RB). Following this, residents of the area apprehended and assaulted him. As a result, he sustained injuries and removed to GMC, Guwahati.

NGT ban violations

Abdul Latif, Forest Range Officer, GHADC lodged a complaint at Phulbari PS that on August 3, at around 4 am, during routine patrolling at Rongkhon check gate (WGH), staff of Phulbari GDC Range intercepted two coal laden trucks (ML-09A-6033) driven by Md. Moninur Hoque and (AS-01EC-0360) driven by Jahangir, while illegally transporting coal in violation of the NGT order. The trucks were later handed over to Phulbari PS.

On the night of November 13, police detected three coal laden trucks (AS-01DD-8892), (AS-01CC-9721) and (AS-01DD-8829), while they were illegally transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Mihmyntdu (WJH).

Body found

On November 13, one unidentified male body was found lying at Polo Bazar, Shillong. Necessary formalities were observed and matter is under enquiry.

Sayeedullah’s complaint

Syeedullah Nongrum, ex-MLA lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on November 12, unknown miscreants stole door handle knobs and other materials from his newly constructed building at Lower Lachumiere.

Smt. Lavinia Edna Wahlang lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on Nov. 12 around 1 pm, unknown miscreants stole her laptop computer from her house at Lummawrie, Laitumkhrah, Shillong.

Attempt to kidnap

One Moini Marak lodged a complaint on November 12 at Williamnagar PS that in April, one Sengseng N. Sangma assaulted her daughter, Pobila Marak at Williamnagar (EGH). As a result, the victim sustained head injuries. Again on November 11 at about 9 pm, the accused person attempted to abduct Pobila Marak. Police arrested the accused.

Assault

On November 10 at around 10.30 pm, one Bishar Dhar assaulted Samlang Pdahkasiej a member of CORP at Umsaw, Umiam (RB).

Seized tyres stolen

One Ivan G. Momin, Range Assistant, Forest Department, Darugre lodged a complaint at Rongjeng police station that on November 7, miscreants stole four tyres from a Tata Sumo (ML-09-2421) which were seized (Jul. 27, 2014) in connection with illegal transportation of timber and kept at Darugre Forest IB (EGH).
