Singer Sam Smith’s dream is to meet Britain’s Queen Elizabeth and shake her hand.
The 22-year-old singer insists he doesn’t want to be recognised for any of his work by the mo-narch, but he would love to have a one-on-one meeting with her, it was reported.
“I’d love to meet the Queen. I don’t want an award – I literally want to shake her hand,” Smith said. Mean-while, the ‘Stay With Me’ hitmaker recently met another person he idolised, legendary US Vogue magazine Anna Wintour – who Meryl Streep’s icy ‘Devil Wears Prada’ character Miranda believed to be based on. “It was like walking into ‘The Devil Wears Prada’.
The only thing that wasn’t like it was Anna. She was the most kind and friendly person. “It is beautiful to meet someone who is truly a legend in her field. I’d like to be a legend in my field, one day,” Smith said. (PTI)
