JOWAI: The Jaintia Students’ Movement (JSM) and the Jaintia Youth Federation have called off their proposed night road blockade slated on November 19 and 20. The two groups had called the night road blockade in protest against the MeECL’s erratic power supply in the entire district. “We have decided to suspend the proposed stir following an assurance from MeECL in a meeting convened by the East Jaintia Hills DC on Monday”, a statement issued by leaders of the NGOs said.
