Shillong: An organization known as Achik indigenous Justice Initiative Forum has asked the State Government to take measures from the large scale influx in the state.

In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister, AIJIF Director Alex K Sangma alleged that there is large scale influx in most of the plain belt areas of Garo Hills while accusing Nokmas of selling A’King land to outside people in Jeldupara.

He also said that Mahendraganj- Mankachar Road passes through the no mans land entering the border fencing and the gates are opened freely which gives every opportunity to people from Bangladesh to enter India.

The Association also said that the delay in completion of the Indo-Bangla border fencing has also posed a serious threat to Garo Hills region and the fencing near Balughat has remained incomplete since last 2-3 years.
