SHILLONG: The Meghalaya football association will conduct a trial cum selection camp for the U-14 player for participation in the coca cola football tournamrnt which is going to be held in Mizoram from 8th december 2014. In this connection all the affiliated unit of MFA are requsted to send their 3 (three) players, born on or after 1st january 2000 to report to the camp on 25th november 2014 at 3 pm at the MFA turf.
National Junior Athletics Championship

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Athletics Association has selected 10 athletes and 2 officials to take part in the National Junior Athletics Championship Under 18 yrs to be held in Vijaywada Andhra Pradesh from 26th to 30th Nov 2014. The teams will leave on November 23.
Rajeev Tomar shines in Grand Wrestling
New Delhi: As many as 52 grapplers participated in the Grand Wrestling Championship here on Sunday.Olympian wrestler Rajeev Tomar was also seen in action at the National Sports Club of India.He defeated Punjab’s wrestler Pala Pehalwan. Union Home Minister Rajanth Singh, Sports Minister Mr Sarbananda Sonowal, Wrestling Federation of India president Mr Raj Singh distributed the prize to the grapplers who won the respective bouts.(PTI)
IOA AGM to be held on Dec 19 in Chennai
New Delhi: The Annual General Body Meeting of Indian Olympic Association will be held in Chennai on December 19.This will be the first AGM of the IOA under the dispensation led by N Ramachandran after it returned to the fold of the International Olympic Committee in February following a 14-month suspension.”The Annual GBM will be held in Chennai on December 19 and I have issued the notice on November 17 as it requires one month’s notice to call a GBM,” Mehta said.The AGM will discuss various issues including a decision on the 2018 National Games host venue. Uttarakhand has made its bid to host the Games. (PTI)
Goa to host National Boxing Championship from Nov 28
Panaji: With the Senior Men National Championship and Kerala National Games around the corner, Goa is all set to host the three-day All India Invitation Boxing Championship for senior men from November 28 at the Boxing Hall, Peddem in Mapusa. The organsing secretary of Goa Boxing Association, Lenny D’ Gama told re[prters that 12 top teams from India, consisting of a galaxy of international boxers, would participate in the event. The teams are Army Sports Institute, Border Security Force, CISF, Delhi, Goa Red, Goa Blue, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu among others.(pti)
