Cobalt machine repaired at Civil Hospital

SHILLONG: Treatment for cancer patients resumed at Shillong Civil Hospital on Wednesday after the cobalt machine used for radiation therapy for cancer patients was repaired.

Superintendent of Civil Hospital, Dr. M. Borthakur, informed that an engineer from Kolkata had rectified the defect.

Hundreds of cancer patients were affected for almost a week due to the technical fault in the cobalt machine.
