NONGPOH: Training guns on Chief Minister Mukul Sangma and Social Welfare Minister Deborah Ch Marak for their alleged involvement with undergrounds outfit, the Federation of Khasi Jaintia & Garo People (FKJGP), North Khasi Hills District president Eddie G Kharbani has demanded institution of a CBI investigation against the two political bigwigs of the State so as to nail their involvement and also ensure exemplary punishment against them as per provision of the laws.

The FKJGP leader expressed strong exception over the statement that the Chief Minister and the Social Welfare Minister had utilized the service of gun-yielding elements to terrorize the people to ensure their victory in the Assembly election last year.

The FKJGP president also deplored the alleged corrupt practices of Urban Affair Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh who, during her tenure as Education Minister, tampered the score-sheets of the candidates appearing for Lower Primary Teachers post by applying ‘white fluid’ to ensure that undeserving candidates get the post whereas genuine and deserving candidates were deprived for reasons best known to the minister concerned and the authority.

He also lambasted the State Government for remaining a mute spectator to such militants-politicians nexus and corrupt practices by so called legislator of the State and not taking any appropriate steps.
