Competition

K.L. Bajoria College organized an inter-college Essay Writing Competition in association with MACS on the topic ‘Youth and AIDS Awareness’ recently. Jyotismita Sarma (St. Mary’s College) won the 1st prize, Thungchobeni R. Tsopoe (B.K. Bajoria H.S. School) won the 2nd prize, Irene C. Neikim (Women’s College) won the 3rd prize, Lhouliebizo Kuotsu (K.L. Bajoria College) won the 4th prize while Archana Thomas (St. Edmund’s College) won the 5th prize.

Church prog

Believers Church Shillong Diocese has informed that the 9th graduation ceremony of the minor seminary was conducted on Tuesday. The programme was graced by Rt. Rev. B. Sunder Raj, Diocesan Bishop, Believers Church Jorhat, Assam, as the chief guest. The Bishop delivered the graduation address and also conferred degrees to 34 candidates.

Admission

NIFT Shillong has begun admissions for the year 2015. In this regard career counseling for interested students will be held in the NIFT campus at Lawmali on November 29 from 11am till 12noon.

Foundation day

The North East Psychological Counselors’ Association, Shillong, will observe the Foundation Day & Counselors’ Day along with other parts of North East India on November 27. The Association would also conduct a GB meet and submission of its Annual Report on the occasion.

Celebration

The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, West Khasi Hills District, celebrated the Quami Ekta Week, Communal Harmony Week and Flag Day from November 19-25, in Nongstoin. The concluding function was held on Nov 25 at TRYSEM Hall, DC’s Office, Nongstoin.
