SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Board Of School Education (MBOSE) is once again in the news for the wrong reasons – this time it is leakage of the question papers of the Khasi (MIL) subject for Class IX examination for which is scheduled on Friday.

The matter was brought to light by the Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) on Thursday after they received complaint from a section of Class IX students.

The HYC immediately brought the matter to the notice of MBOSE Executive Chairman E.P. Kharbhih.

“We have been assured by the Executive Chairman that stringent action will be taken against those responsible for the leakage of the question papers,” HYC vice president Donboklang K Lyngdoh said, while adding that the examination will continue as scheduled.

When contacted, Kharbhih was not available for comments.
