New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee will embark on a three-day visit beginning today to West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Odisha to attend various programmes.
He will deliver convo-cation address at the University of Calcutta and inaugurate the Institute of Neurosciences at Kolkata today, said a press release issued Thursday by Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The President will be chief guest at the closing ceremony of the 150th anniversary of Metropolitan Institution at Kolkata on Saturday, it said. “On the same day, he will inaugurate the 40th All India Sociological Conference on ‘Development, Diversity and Democracy’ of Indian Sociological Society” the release said.
He will also inaugurate the Golden Jubilee Celebra-tions of Utkal Sangeet Mahavi-dyalaya and visit Skills Develop-ment Lear-ning Labs at Centurion University of Technology & Management at Bhubane-swar on the same day.On Nov 30, Mukherjee will inaugurate first Vivekananda Memorial Building at Rama-krishna Ashrama, Rampur, Kalahandi, it said.(PTI)
