Free computer course for drop outs, unemployed youth

NONGPOH: In a bid to equip the drop-out students and also unemployed youth of the district with computer science skills and knowledge, the Lynti Jam Welfare & Development Association (LJWDA) inaugurated a free DTP course and Hospitality and Vocational course in Nongpoh on Friday.
The LJWDA in collaboration with NEDFI, Shillong and supported by BABLE, Shillong will be imparting skills and knowledge on computer course for three month under the Centre for Practical Livelihood Training and Hospitality and Vocational Courses on Hospitality.
The training programme was inaugurated in the presence of LJWDA president Sumarlang Swer, master trainers Balawan Kharkongor and Asa Sakra and LJWDA vice president Albert Lyngkhoi.
Swer expressed his appreciation to the official of NEDFI, Shillong and BABLE, Shillong for supporting the computer course to enable the students in pursuing higher levels of computer knowledge.
