Chowdhury along with his wife arrived here to attend the inauguration of the second unit of 726 MW gas-based thermal power project at Palatana in Gomati district by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.

“Our relation with India is very cordial now and we are cooperating each other. We need to do a lot of cooperation in the fields of connectivity like roads, railways and port,” he said.

When asked about India’s long demand for access to Chittagong port for transshipment of goods in north eastern states, he said, everything is possible on the basis of mutual cooperation.
