JOWAI: A person identified as Rupaia Lyngdoh (25) of Wahiajer village was found murdered by unidentified persons at a place called Umpawai.
His body was recovered early Sunday morning by some villagers who informed the relatives who later called the police.
According to sources, unknown miscreants allegedly killed the victim between 1:30am and 2am on Sunday. One of the weapons used for the murdered was recovered from the spot by Ummulong Police after which they immediately swung into action and arrested one of the suspects identified as Pyndap Lamare (25). The main accused is still at large and has absconded from the village.
