Concert
The Aroha Music and Cultural Society will organize a concert on December 6 at 5 pm at U Soso Tham auditorium entitled “ A Christmas Special “. Tickets are available at Regatta Store, Laitumkhrah and Broadway Collection in Police Bazar.
Jubilee
The platinum jubilee closing ceremony and the alumni meet of the Laitumkhrah Assamese Secondary School, Shillong will be held on December 6 from 10 am to 4 pm.

Awareness
The Women’s Cell and Prevention of Sexual Harassment Cell, Lady Keane College, Shillong will organize a women’s safety awareness workshop on December 3 at 9.30 am in the college seminar hall.
Blood donation
A voluntary blood donation camp was organised at BSF Composite Hospital in collaboration with the Blood Bank department of NEIGRIHMS on Tuesday in continuation of celebration of BSF Golden Jubilee year. A total of 64 personnel including 13 officers donated their blood.
Liquor seized
Excise Staff of East Khasi Hills district during the month of October detected 50 cases with a seizure of 402.450 litres of liquor and 197.530 litres IMFL and arrested 45 persons.
Cleaning drive
The Dorbar Shnong Mawlai Mawdatbaki will conduct its annual cleaning drive on December 18 from 8 am onwards. The Dorbar Shnong also asked all land owners in Mawdatbaki to meet their respective headman on December 15 at 8 am. The Dorbar Shnong has also prohibited plying and parking of vehicles on all internal roads during the cleaning drive.
